Syria and Turkey Sign Five Cooperation Agreements
Istanbul, (SANA) – Syria and Turkey signed on Friday five cooperation agreements in the fields of marine navigation, aviation, energy, transport and stock markets.
The agreements were signed by involved officials in the presence of Syrian Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari and his Turkish counterpart Nazim Ekren.
These agreements include a cooperation agreement between the Syrian Chamber of Marine Navigation and the Istanbul, Marmara, Aegean Sea, Mediterranean and Balkans Regions Chamber of Navigation, and a cooperation agreement in the field of aviation stipulating for increasing flights between Syria and Turkey, an agreement in the field of energy and electricity, an agreement on Syrian and Turkish stock markets, and the minutes of the talks held by the Syrian delegation during their visit.
Ekren described the visit as positive, where Syria and Turkey establish the principles and basis for cooperation within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by the two countries.
For his part, al-Dardari stated that the agreements reflect the excellent relations between the two sides, pointing out that they set the course for relations in the future.
